Floris Keverling Buisman
Chief Executive Officer
Floris is a renowned expert in building science, materials, high performance envelopes. He's been involved in NYC Building Code Committees, and numerous successful Passive House projects in NY and VT. He blends academic knowledge with practical experience as a LEED AP, Registered Architect in the Netherlands, and City College of New York adjunct professor. Floris holds a dual Master's degree in Architecture and Real Estate Development from Delft Univ. of Technology. His unwavering commitment to find synergy between architecture and sustainability is what drives his effort to transform the building industry toward a low-carbon future.
Johnny Rezvani
Director of Communications
Johnny began a career in sustainability in 2009 when he became involved in co-authoring the first Climate Action Plan for The Evergreen State College, then developed regional sustainability plans in local government in the Pacific Northwest before joining 475. He holds degrees in Sustainability Planning from Evergreen and The City College of New York. Johnny now lives in Boulder, CO, where he loves to commute by bike and serves as President of Colorado Green Building Guild.
Matt Cull
Director of Finance
Matt graduated from NYU Tisch School of the Arts in 2005, then worked as a production accountant at ITV Studios and Vice Media where he became the head of accounting. He is also a critical home repair construction volunteer for Habitat for Humanity NYC and is a Certified Passive House Consultant. Matt is also a licensed small unmanned aircraft aerial system pilot and has flown over many 475 projects as well as shoots, edits, and produces 475 videos. Matt is an Ironman triathlete and a beer nerd.
Philip Miceli
Director of Operations
Phil comes to 475 with a B.S in Industrial Engineering from NY Institute of Technology and an M.B.A. from Hofstra University. After a successful career spanning engineering, consulting, banking, commercial real estate, sales, and marketing (online and offline), Phil decided to follow his passion for sustainability. He is a certified Passive House Consultant and a Certified Passive House Tradesperson. Phil loves to scuba dive with sharks, manta rays, and other large animals - diving all over the world from Fiji to the Caribbean, and Greece.
Aaron McCormack
Director of Technical Development
Aaron joined 475 in 2017 after working for our European partners, Ecological Building Systems in Ireland for 4 years. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Architectural Design and Technology from Cardiff Metropolitan University. Aaron is a Certified Passive House Consultant and is trained in WUFI hygrothermal modeling. He manages our team of Product Consultants and engages in product development and testing. He stays connected to his homeland by watching Ireland play Rugby, Gaelic Football, and Hurling. In the office, he enjoys playing ping pong and supporting his favorite team, Aston Villa, over a nice IPA at his desk.
Ken Levenson
Co-Founder
Ken has been a registered architect in New York State since 1993. He has a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Pratt Institute. Ken is a Certified Passive House Designer, and a founding board member of New York Passive House, the National Passive House Alliance, and the North American Passive House Network. Ken has served on advisory panels for Urban Green’s 90 by 50 advanced policy report and the Framework Guidelines for Energy Efficiency Standards in Buildings of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe. When Ken isn’t thinking about Passive House, he can usually be found walking their 180 lb Newfoundland dog, Romeo, in Prospect Park.
Rachel Bernstein
Marketing Associate
Rachel's curiosity for both the built and natural environment was sparked from growing up in New Orleans, Louisiana, where unique architecture and environmental issues are ever-present. Rachel graduated from Tulane University with a degree in Environmental Studies and minors in Architecture, Real Estate, and Urban Studies, and she went on to complete her Masters of Science in Sustainability with a concentration in Architecture from the City College of New York. In her free time, Rachel enjoys hot yoga, baking sourdough, and anything relating to dogs.
Steve Dahlgren
Daylight Project Manager / Field Supervisor
Steve first got interested in sustainability while studying architecture at UC Berkeley. After running his own design and build construction company, earning a Masters in Journalism, working in television news, and raising a family in California he moved to New York, and has continued his education in Clean Energy and Passive House Construction. In his spare time Steve swims on a master’s team and explores the Northeast by bicycle.
Brenden David
Product Consultant - West Canada
Brenden focused on Building Science and Restoration as a Project Engineer (P.Eng.) with prominent Building Envelope consulting firms. Driven to pursue higher performance and sustainable solutions, Brenden became a Passive House Designer (CPHD) providing Feasibility, Design, and Energy modeling services. Brenden has experience across Canada including the Lower Mainland, Prairie provinces, and GTA. He enjoys working through a good technical challenge and collaborating on constructable solutions.
John Deans
Product Consultant - CT, RI, MA
John has always been devoted to making this world a better place, whether as a student activist, Campaigner and Organizer for Greenpeace for nine years, or most recently a carpenter for six years building some of the most high performing homes in New England. He has been on the board of passivhausMAINE, and is one of the founding members of Passive House Rhode Island. He has a bachelor's degree in Human Ecology from College of the Atlantic. Outside of his building interest, John spends his time with his favorite person and wife, Liia, and against all sound advice loves to play lacrosse, mountain bike, and snowboard.
Sasha Evans
Customer Service Representative
Sasha started his career as a summer intern for 475 while going to school full time, he holds a B.S. in Sustainable Built Environments from the College of Architecture, Planning, and Landscape Architecture and a Masters of Real Estate Development both from The University of Arizona. Besides a passion for low energy and low carbon architecture Sasha is an avid runner and soccer player. There’s nothing better than getting outside after a good day at 475 HQ.
Idalia Ferreras
Junior Accountant
Idalia holds a BS in Business Finance and an MS in Sustainability in the Urban Environment. In her previous experience supporting construction projects with a GC, she became most interested in organizations and projects that prioritize improving our environments and our communities. She has also worked with Owner's Representatives supporting projects for various institutions and non-profit organizations. She enjoys nature, travel, music, and learning about indigenous environmentalism.
Eddie Fischer
Technical Sales Associate NY, NJ, CT
Eddie’s interest in building science and construction technology began during his architectural education at Carnegie Mellon. As a student he learned about energy efficient construction, and contributed to an initiative to distribute Weatherization Kits to low-income renters in Pittsburgh. After graduating he spent 2 years working in Baltimore at an architecture firm focused on cultural and educational work, before moving to New York to pursue his interest in sustainability in the construction industry. In his free time Eddie enjoys seeing live music, hiking, playing tennis and snowboarding.
Nina Kagan
Customer Service Representative
Nina is a recent graduate from Wesleyan University with majors in Architecture and History, and a minor in mechanical engineering. She gained a passion for sustainable construction while leading a design and build studio in undergrad, and a knack for woodworking while working in a fabrication studio. Nina enjoys building furniture in her spare time.
Hudson Kuang
Logistics Analyst
Hudson joins 475 with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from CUNY Queens College. With a family history in the logistics industry, he immediately joined one of the leading logistics providers from Asia to North America, OEC Group. There he specialized in Air Freight leading a team in both import and export along with expertise in handling dangerous goods. After leaving freight forwarding, he took on a major role in a local drayage carrier startup and is now building his career in hopes of streamlining supply chain processes in a more sustainable and efficient way. In his free time, he is an avid gamer, basketball fan and self-proclaimed biggest "Swiftie".
Jeremy Latriano
Product Consultant - Daylighting
Jeremy joined 475 in 2017 while completing his Masters in Sustainability in the Urban Environment at CCNY. Starting as a Business Development Intern, Jeremy came on full time as an Operations Manager in 2018, before moving to his current role as a Product Consultant. In 2019, Jeremy finished his Masters and joined CCNY's staff as an Adjunct Lecturer, teaching the same Low Energy Buildings course that brought him to 475 originally.
Christopher Lee
Brink Customer Service Representative
Christopher Lee holds a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering with a concentration in Nuclear Engineering from The City College of New York. In his previous role, Christopher evaluated HVAC system designs to optimize compliance with IRA-related green energy incentives. He also helped clients secure R&D tax credits for innovative projects across various industries. Outside of work, he enjoys composing music, attending live performances, and experimenting with culinary techniques in the kitchen.
Will Long
Product Consultant - VT, NH, ME
During his career as an educator, Will was his school’s student sustainability coordinator where he discovered high performance building. Will then took a class in building science and net zero design at Yestermorrow Design/Build School and went on to earn certifications as a CPHT and CPHC. After working as a carpenter, Will brings his skills as an educator, builder, and student of building science. Environmentally responsible construction, and sharing knowledge with others are at the forefront of his role. When not working Will can be found hiking, skiing, traveling, playing music, and spending time with his wife and their dog, Charley.
Mariana Moreira
Logistics Manager
Mariana is a Brazilian architect who worked with residential and commercial projects in São Paulo until moving to New York to pursue her passion for sustainability. She completed her Master’s of Science in Sustainability from the City College of New York and went on to get certified as a Passive House Designer. Mariana is fascinated by the role of buildings in a more sustainable environment and how they can contribute to its residents' health and life quality. In her free time, she likes to run, listen to classic rock, and learn new languages.
Corey Murphy
Product Consultant - NY State
Corey graduated from City College of New York with a Masters of Science degree in Sustainability in the Urban Environment in 2018. Corey spent much of his life between NYC and the Adirondacks, witnessing both extreme weather events and long-term ecological degradation related to fossil fuel use, he is passionate about promoting sustainability by design to achieve resilience in the natural and built environments. He spends his spare time as a Permaculture designer, focusing on Agro-Ecological engineering at his homestead, and enjoying the outdoors at every opportunity.
Delia Murphy
Daylight Customer Service Representative
Delia first became interested in sustainable design and construction practices while teaching woodworking and metalworking at her campus makerspace. She graduated from Brown University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2021. Prior to joining 475, Delia consulted on railroad software projects and served as a community organizer for Work On Climate. In her free time, Delia likes to read, crochet, and try out new recipes.
Ian Nimmo
Product Consultant - West
Ian has been with 475 since 2018 and loves supporting his clients with all things high performance! Most recently, Ian became a PHI certified Passive House Tradesperson in addition to his HERS Rater and BPI Building Analyst certifications. Ian’s father was a General Contractor in California for 35 years, so he has always had an interest in homebuilding. Ian has experience in canvassing, energy auditing, on site data gathering, data analysis, energy modeling, and blower door testing.
Gabrielle O'Grady
Product Consultant - Brink
Gabrielle is a Product Consultant specializing in our centralized Brink H/ERV systems. Her previous positions working in improving efficiency and optimizing building operations, five years in healthcare, and growing up around construction, provide her a unique perspective on the relationship between our homes, indoor environment, and health. Gabrielle has a M.S. in Sustainable Architecture/Engineering, B.S. in Physiology, Neurobiology and Chemistry, is a Certified Passive House Tradesperson, and a LEED Green Associate. Outside of work she enjoys home improvement projects, podcasts, winter sports, sailing, and time with family.
Ben Olender
Product Consultant - Rockies & Midwest
Ben graduated from Syracuse University Whitman School of Management in 2022. His background in mechanics and residential contracting led him to work for Milwaukee Tool in Colorado. Working within the building industry helped grow his passion for building material science and the passive housing industry as a whole. Ben enjoys the outdoors and all things mechanical; he fixes vintage motorcycles in his spare time.
Alexis Roberts

Alexis is from Austin, TX and graduated from CU Boulder with a degree in Information Science. While completing her Space minor, she used a weather balloon to study climate data on the edge of our atmosphere. She loves snowboarding Colorado’s world-famous slopes and attending outdoor concerts.
Nick Shaw
Senior Product Consultant – South, SE, Midwest & MidAtlantic
Nick got PHIUS Consultant and Builder certified in 2015. He’s worked as a builder and consultant for a variety of high performance projects. Regardless of certification, he’s been focused on addressing operational and embodied carbon. With 10+ years of industry experience, he’s trying his darndest to help designers and builders make their projects more energy efficient and sustainable. During his free time, he rock climbs, hikes, and fights off his cats while renovating his home in Asheville, NC.
Ashley Verhines

Ashley graduated from the UCLA Institute of the Environment & Sustainability and holds certificates in Supply Chain Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Prior to working at 475, she managed public-private partnerships for a sustainable building nonprofit in NYC. In her free time, you can find her gardening or searching for the next best dumpling in Chinatown.
Aaron Waldt
Product Consultant - Eastern Canada (ON, QC, Maritime Provinces)
Aaron's experience in construction stems mostly from being on site. During his time working for a custom home builder in Collingwood, ON, he became fascinated with high performance building through spending his evenings taking courses at BCIT on sustainable design and passive house construction. Aaron is a certified passive house consultant and has degrees in biomedical engineering and business management. Keep an eye out for him at your local craft brewery or golf course.
Laura Zapata
Accounting Associate
Laura started in the accounting industry almost two decades ago working for an accounting firm in Westchester, NY. She holds a Masters Degree in Accounting obtained from Wilmington University, College of Business and a Bachelor Degree in Economics with a Concentration in Forensic Financial Analysis, obtained from the City University of New York. For her, it's important to give back to her adopted city by volunteering for New York Care and riding to raise funds for Bike MS New York. Laura loves to travel and spend time with her dog, Jack.
