Emergency U.S. tariffs first announced April 5th are now impacting shipments arriving at U.S. ports today. 475.Supply sources products from Germany, the Netherlands, and other EU countries as well as from the United States. We proudly serve customers in both Canada and the United States.
Tariff information is evolving by the day—and even by the hour. We will use this post to keep you updated on any changes to our policies as they take effect. When we update this page, we’ll adjust the date at the top so you can always see when the latest changes were made.
Purchases in Canada
Because we stock products in our Canadian warehouses, prices in Canada will remain unaffected. We continue to ship directly from the EU to Canada without interruption or tariffs due to the free trade agreement.
Purchases in the United States
In the U.S., these new tariffs are affecting the entire supply chain and building industry — from lumber, to appliances, to the high-performance tapes and membranes we supply. Many of the products our industry relies on are sourced from countries now facing anywhere from 10%-25% tariffs on top of the tariffs that existed before April 2025.
Our Commitment: At 475.Supply, we do our best to share the burden of increased costs.
For now, thanks to our current warehouse inventory, we expect to avoid passing on any additional costs to our U.S. customers until June 1, 2025, for Pro Clima, Lunos, Gutex, and Brink products. Per our sources, wood fiberboard is currently exempt from the tariff, but with the day-to-day changes, we can’t assure this for the long-term.
As new shipments arrive in the U.S. and tariffs are paid, our cost of goods will increase—and unfortunately, we will need to proportionally pass those increases on to customers. If they remain in place, we will work to implement any price changes gradually, with at least a two weeks' notice and do this transparently. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate this situation, and as always, let us know how we can help.
