475.Supply’s Response and Commitments Regarding Tariffs

Last Updated: August 12, 2025 @ 2:30 PM EST

Emergency U.S. tariffs first announced April 5th are now impacting shipments arriving at U.S. ports. A 15% tariff was imposed on EU countries starting August 7th, as well as 50% tariffs on aluminium, steel and copper. 475.Supply sources products from Germany, the Netherlands, and other EU countries as well as from the United States. We proudly serve customers in both Canada and the United States.

Tariffs continue to evolve. When we update this page, we’ll adjust the date at the top so you can always see when the latest changes were made.

Purchases in the United States

In the U.S., these new tariffs are affecting the entire supply chain and building industry — from lumber, to appliances, to the high-performance tapes and membranes we supply. Many of the products our industry relies on are sourced from countries now facing 15% tariffs or more.

We adjusted our prices on July 15th for tariffs paid on shipments that arrived in the U.S. after the first wave of these increases were implemented. Unfortunately, we have to pass a portion of these cost increases on to our customers after they are incurred. Additionally Lamilux skylights have been impacted by the 50% metal tariff which has increased the price point of Lamilux products substantially.

Purchases in Canada

Because we stock products in our Canadian warehouses, prices in Canada will remain unaffected. We continue to ship directly from the EU to Canada without interruption or tariffs due to the free trade agreement.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate this situation, and as always, let us know how we can help.
