Shipping Information

We want you to be satisfied with your purchase.

We offer Expedited Ground Shipping (UPS Ground) and Priority Shipping (UPS Next Day Air) for parcels and flat rate freight options. 475 reserves the right to change your shipping to a comparable method, or upgrade it to a faster method, at no cost to you.

475 is not responsible for lost or stolen packages, and any damaged goods must be reported to 475 within 24 hours of delivery. Any missing items should be reported within 3 business days after shipper's confirmation of delivery. See our Returns and Refunds Policy for more information on what returns are accepted and how to begin the return process, when necessary.

Note: UPS does not deliver to P.O. boxes. If your delivery address is a P.O. box, please contact us so we can ship it via USPS instead.

Parcel

Parcel orders placed before 11am EST (for orders east of the Mississippi), and 11am PST (for orders west of the Mississippi) ship the same business day. All other parcel orders placed after this cutoff ship the next business day. Orders are processed and shipped out Monday – Friday. No shipping on Saturday, Sunday, and Federal Holidays.

Freight (LTL)

Freight orders sent by truck take a few days to process. Please allow an additional week for delivery. Additional shipping fees may apply for:

  • Insulation and custom daylighting shipments
  • Difficult delivery locations such as islands, sites not accessible by commercial trucks, etc.

Delivery service includes transportation to the curb and does not include moving the load onto the property (i.e. down driveway) or into the building. Since every LTL carrier uses different sizes of trucks, we must assume that the carrier will send a full size 48’-53’ semi for your delivery, unless otherwise specified. Please notify 475 immediately if your delivery location is:

  • A hard-to-access area
  • A dirt/gravel road
  • A one-way road
  • A narrow road
  • A road with low hanging tree branches or power lines
  • On an incline
  • A jobsite with no electricity, known postal address, etc.

Failure to notify 475 could result in your shipment being unnecessarily delayed or even returned to us. If a lift gate is desired, it must be specified before placing the order.

Pickup Orders

Select materials have the option to schedule orders for pickup at 5 of our office and warehouse locations:

  • Brooklyn, NY
  • Central CT
  • Denver, CO
  • Boulder, CO
  • Portland, OR

If the items in your cart are eligible for pickup, you will be able to choose one of the 5 pickup locations above during the checkout process. All orders placed BEFORE 11am local time will be available for pickup at the location between 2pm-4pm of the same day. Earlier pickup is not possible. All orders placed AFTER 11am local time will be available for pickup at our warehouse the following business day from 2pm-4pm. All pickup orders must be picked up within 48 hours or restocking fees may be charged.

Brink Pallet Orders

For all Brink freight orders allow up to 3 business days for palletization and scheduling the pick up, excluding Federal Holidays. If any parts are out of stock, the order will be held until all parts are in stock, unless arranged otherwise with your 475 point of contact. Once the order is picked up you will receive an email with the tracking number and instructions. The carrier will call the phone number you provided as the 'Shipping Contact' when your order reaches the closest hub to schedule the delivery window: expect this call.

Importantly, please inspect your pallets upon arrival and note any damage or potential damage by writing the word “damages” on the BOL, even if it seems insignificant. Rips in the plastic wrap or scuffs on the cardboard boxes etc. often indicate worse damage inside. This is required for filing any shipping claims. Take photos before unboxing as evidence.
